Quality Month | Building Quality Defense and Empowering Workgroups to Improve--Donghua Drive Shaft Company's “Lunchtime Classroom” First Seminar
In September 2025, which is the national “Quality Month”, Drive Shaft Company formally launched the “Noon Classroom” series of team management training activities. The first class focused on the key pain points in the current quality management, centered on the two core themes of “change point management” and “abnormal event escalation process”, which was delivered by Zhou Cuiping, Minister of the Quality Department of Transmission Shaft Company, with the participation of the production manager, team leaders of each production line and quality engineers. The seminar was conducted by Zhou Cuiping, Director of Quality Department of Transmission Shaft Company, with the participation of production manager, team leaders of production lines and quality engineers, aiming to improve the ability of grass-roots team to identify and control the risks of production process through systematic training.

With the framework of “4M Change Point Management”, this training comprehensively sorted out the typical scenarios of quality fluctuations that may be triggered by the four major elements of Man, Machine, Material and Method in the production process. Combined with real cases on site, Mr. Zhou analyzed the identification methods and coping strategies of common change points, such as “new employees”, “resumption of production after equipment maintenance” and “change of material suppliers”. She also explained in detail how to effectively integrate risk prevention and control into the whole production process by means of first-piece confirmation, frequency inspection and visualization of Kanban. She emphasized: “Every seemingly small change is a potential source of quality risk. Only through the establishment of a keen identification mechanism and a rigorous response process can we truly realize the transformation from “putting out the fire after the fact” to “preventing it before the fact”.”
Participants actively participated in the discussion around “how to quickly identify the hidden change points”, “temporary response measures and long-term improvement program interface mechanism” and other practical problems, the site exchanges in-depth, strong atmosphere, and effectively enhance the team's problem-solving capabilities. The team's problem solving ability was effectively enhanced.

In addition, the classroom also formally announced the company's new version of "Abnormal Event Escalation Management Process", which further clarified the triggering conditions, response level, responsible person and processing time limit for abnormal information reporting, to ensure that the problem can be discovered, reported, responded to and closed-looped at the first time. The meeting requested each team leader to organize internal retraining for the team in time after the training, so as to pass the process requirements to every frontline employee, and effectively guarantee the stable quality and on-time delivery of tasks.
Yin Xingfei, Manufacturing Director, pointed out in his concluding remarks: “Change point management is the ‘bullnose’ of on-site quality control, and must be grasped in detail. Each production line should take this training as an opportunity to promote the quality concept of ‘prevention first‘, and strictly implement the whole process management chain of 'identification-measures-verification-closed loop'. The whole process management chain of 'identification-measures-verification-closed-loop' should be strictly implemented.
